Seattle Hooverville
One of the most famous Hoovervilles was in Seattle Washington, “Seattle's Hooverville was one of the largest, longest-lasting, and best documented in the nation. It stood for ten years, 1931 to 1941. When you read these documents, note the constant controversy that is taking place. Since this Hooverville was in Washington, it had the most political drive behind it.
